E-mail is a vital part of conducting business with your members. CU Village can set up and host your e-mail account (s).
Included with our hosting service is The Barracuda Networks Spam Firewall, CU Village’s anti-spam and anti-virus solution. This service allows clients to set preferences for the following:
- Anti-spam — The spam filtering mechanisms can classify e-mail as either “spam” or “not spam.” The e-mail that is “not spam” will be sent to your In box, and the “spam” will be quarantined.
- Whitelist and blacklist services — You can set personal preferences on specific email addresses and domain to either always allow email to come through (whitelist) or be blocked (blacklist) regardless of the spam score.
- Quarantine services — You can set whether messages scored to be quarantined are e-mailed to you tagged [QUAR] and sent to the users’ inbox or placed in your Quarantine Inbox. (You will only receive an email if there is something in your Quarantine Inbox.)
We request that you always classify quarantined items as either spam or not spam first. This allows our system’s learning agent to trend emails so that future messages are better classified automatically by the system.
